Today our daughter graduated with Honors from High School
Our darling daughter graduated High School on the 19th of May. She graduated with Honors as well. We are so proud of her not only for her marks in school but for what God is doing in her life.
I realized a long time ago, that she does not belong to me. Instead, GOD trusted us to raise her and watch her bloom into the young lady he has created. In September, she is leaving for YWAM (youth with a mission) for a six month missions trip! She is headed off to Australia and then Indonesia. I applaud her lack of fear!!!! I am not a missionary. I believe in Missionaries, but I support them with money. The way I see it, we need each other.
When she comes back she is going to go to Vanguard in Sunny California! She is currently looking into a degree in psychology to help children :O)
We threw her a huge party on Saturday. We had about 120 people come through the back yard bbq. We had games, bubbles, otter pops (it was 85) pulled pork, pulled turkey, potato salad, cole slaw, baked beans, chips, homemade Strawberry Lemonade, Sweet Tea, water and cake. If you left hungry it was your fault. (I'm just sayin)
Well, that's the update from the home front! Have a great week :O)

Gabe's First Hair Cut
Today Gabe had his first hair cut! (April 12th)

Here is Gabe before his hair cut, wow look at the curls :O)

Peggy is cutting Gabe's hair. Gabe is looking to daddy for some reassurance.

Here is Gabe after his first hair cut. He is so cute, and yes he still has the curls :O) He was very brave and did a great job. Thanks Peggy for helping us with Gabe's first hair cut!
Master Mixes
Today I thought I would share my thoughts on Mixes. Well, basically they are amazing. Mixes save time, money and are a cooks best friend. You can do so much with mixes. You can make a hamburger mix and then have the base for hundreds of dinners. You can make a "bisquick" mix and have the base for hundreds of recipes. By making your own mixes you will save money at the grocery store and know what you are feeding your family.
My favorite book on the subject is Make -A-Mix Cookery . It was printed in 1978 and has all the groovy clothes that goes with that era :O) All of the recipes are nutritious and inexpensive.
One recipe I adore is Meat Sauce Mix. With this simple recipe stored in your freezer you can now make speedy pizza, Rancher's Sloppy Joes, Stuffed Hard Rolls, Stuffed Green Peppers, Hamburger Trio Skillet, Hamburger- Noodle Skillet, Layered Casserole Complete. Chili Con Carne, Tamale Pie or just serve on hamburger rolls.
Well time to go, I need to fill up the freezer.
Have a blessed day!

Please Pray for my PAPA!
Today my Papa was in a serious car accident. He is currently in the hospital. His EKG doesn't look good so they are running tests on his heart. Some one hit him from behind, they didn't stop for the red light, when my dad woke up he took his NITRO pills and remembers his car on top of their car. No one is seriously injured, but my dad's heart is.
Please pray for my Papa!
Thank you ,
Chella
